1 December: Keio Hospital was crowded with Dr. Makoto Kondo’s adherents on the day he saw outpatients.

At last my turn came at a few minutes past 5:00pm.

I cried to Dr. Kondo while he was looking at the Roentgen-rays films of my esophagus.

I said, “Do you regards me as an early-stage cancer patient?”

Dr. Kondo said, ”Yes, I think so.”

I asked, “Do you feel I am worth treating?”

Dr. Kondo said, “Yes I do. Please come to Hospital next week.”

I said, “I have just slipped out of National Cancer Center Hospital. I am invited by some other hospitals.

I said, “It’s kind of you.”

2 December: I went to Keio University Hospital.

My name was called and I entered the consultation room.

There was Dr. Shigematsu, who was going to take charge of me.

I asked, “Does Dr. Makoto Kondo take control?”

Dr. Shigematsu answered, “No. I take charge of you myself.”

I cried, “ Oh, no. Dr. Kondo did not mention such a thing.”

I went out of the room and found Dr. Kondo walking in the hospital.

I run to him and said, “Doctor, you wrote a book titled Patients, Never Fight with Cancer.

Don’t you really fight with cancer?”

Dr. Kondo said, “I am busy.”
